During World War I, propaganda was heavily used and not very disguised. When the next major era for propaganda came along, during World War II, the propaganda was a little less dramatic, it was a little more disguised. However, it was still very prominent. Today propaganda is much more disguised. We no longer go to the movie theater and watch news reels or political cartoons. We no longer see posters hanging around towns telling us to sign up for the army. However, we are constantly bombarded with propaganda. The internet and social media are our major sources of propaganda. Here we see political adds, and public service announcements along with other forms of propaganda. However, We still need to be able to recognize propaganda despite the medium it is presented with changing.
